Extended Learning Coordinator - San Mateo
The Extended Learning Coordinator is a 12-month staff position that will support all of the programs under the Extended Learning umbrella on the San Mateo campus. These programs are primarily non-school-day/school-year opportunities for 9-12th-grade students to engage in learning outside of the curriculum. Many of these programs are run in partnership with the parent association, and most rely on partnering with community members outside of our faculty. The Extended Learning Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Extended Learning to spearhead these programs and ensure their success.
Primary Responsibilities
The Extended Learning Coordinator supports multiple programs throughout the calendar year, with a primary focus on Nueva’s Internship Program.
Internship Program (Primary Responsibility)
The Extended Learning Coordinator leads Nueva’s Internship Program, a cornerstone of the upper school experience that connects eligible students in grades 10–12 with summer opportunities through employer partners. Responsibilities include:

Summer Programs
During the summer, the Extended Learning Coordinator manages High School Teaching Assistants (TAs) for Nueva’s Summer Camp program. This role includes managing the hiring process for TAs in the spring, on-site support for all five weeks of camp, and assistance with program execution.

Compensation and Benefits
The full-time equivalent salary range for this position is $76,500-$102,000. The starting salary is based on, but not limited to, several factors, including type and years of experience, education level, and expertise.
